Midnight Tide reflects the ocean after dusk — a moment when the sea holds both mystery and renewal. Working with layered oil and Prussian blue, my intention was to create a sense of depth and stillness that reflects the sea’s nocturnal atmosphere. The textured surface draws from coral structures, revealing traces of life that continue beneath changing tides. This painting continues my exploration of the ocean as a living system - shaped by transformation, renewal and resilience.

Corallium Viride explores the hidden language of marine life - the intricate textures and transformations that unfold beneath the surface. Built through layered oil and tactile forms, the work reflects the organic evolution of coral ecosystems. Varying shades of luminous green convey both the vitality of thriving reefs and the uncertainty of their survival. Through this piece, I wanted to express how coral endures, adapts, and reclaims amidst change. Rather than depicting the sea, I aimed to capture its living energy - a dialogue between growth and renewal that defines the pulse of underwater life.

Burnt Coral reflects on the fragility of coral ecosystems and the slow erosion that transforms and endangers them. Drawing from both geological and marine forms, the work captures the textures of coral decay and the shifting seafloor beneath. I wanted to express how these natural processes of erosion and renewal mirror cycles of time and transformation. Earthy pigments, burnt umber, sand, and marble dust create a sculptural surface that blurs the line between painting and sculpture — a reflection on the changing landscapes beneath the sea.
