Hello! Welcome to my colourful world. My name is Lara and I'm an abstract artist based in London. I’ve been working as an artist for over five years now and completed a painting training course at Central St Martins. 

Much of my inspiration comes from being out in nature. I love surfing and try to get out in the water as much as I can. It's something I'm deeply passionate about, and that connection with the sea has naturally found its way into my art.

I work with a mix of mediums, although oil paint remains at the centre of my practice because of the depth, richness, and versatility it offers. Most of my paintings explore colour, movement, and gesture, and the way I arrive at abstraction is often indirect, driven by experimentation, spontaneity, chance, and accident.

Colour plays a particularly important role in my work. Art has taught me that colour is far more than something we see; it is something we feel. Colour has become a language through which I can express emotions that are often difficult to articulate with words.
